Size: 2,400 square feet
Scope: Full renovation with addition
Location: Chattanooga
Features: This 1920’s home had previously been torn down to the studs. It was purchased “as is” by its current owner who could see and feel the beauty of restoring the property.
Special Details: The client asked New Blue to revive meaningful old wood she had collected from a farm in Cheatham County. The wood was utilized as a finish on the three-sided fireplace and along the kitchen wall.
Skilled Techniques: Concrete countertop fabrication and incredible custom steel staircase created by the talented team at Set In Stone. Custom kitchen cabinets were built in-house, thoughtfully planned to maximize lower storage space while minimizing disruption to the views through windows and other rooms.
Special Challenges: With very old bones, the hurdles of structural challenges were cleared to support the home for many years to come. Significant effort was spent dehumidifying the crawlspace, rectifying moisture and damage.
