Tremont Tavern

Soon after its doors opened, Tremont Tavern quickly became a beloved fixture of the Northshore neighborhood. When the owner decided to expand, we were tasked with improving and enlarging the space–but importantly, with keeping the cozy vibe its regulars love.

Working with architects at Cogent Studio, we added 1,000 square feet of space by punching through a wall into the adjoining building. Then we installed a new commercial kitchen, remodeled the existing bathrooms, and updated the storefront with a roll-up garage door. Most importantly, we used reclaimed wood and expert woodworking techniques to create a custom bar, bench seating, wainscoting, and other trim accents. All essential for making the expanded space as warm, welcoming, and laid-back as the original.
